Swimmers will be taken in boats from the Madison Arm Resort to the point just opposite the Resort on the North Shore . They will start from the shore waves, 5 in a single wave No less than 8 boats with flags and spotters will picket the swim course to wave off approaching boats, and PWCs, as well as pick swimmers from the water if needed. The bicycle portion of the race will start at Madison Arm Resort and proceed SE on FSR 1731 to the junction of FSR 1731 and FSR 1730. There they will proceed NW to the Junction of FSR 1730,FSR 6699, and FSR 291. A total of 7.3 miles That area has a wide open space. Here we will have the trailers that will pickup and transport the bicycles back to the Madison Arm Resort. There will also be a refreshment stand and a chemical toilet for the participants use, The run portion of the Triathlon starts here and proceeds East on FSR 6699 to the Junction of FSR 1731, where they turn south to the “Y” then northeast to the Resort. This is 5.2 Miles. The event will start at 1:00 P.M. and should be completed by 5:00 PM. Awards presentation and a Dinner Dance will be held at the Resort that evening. Participant will be placed in age categories per the USA Triathlon Requirements. The water will be tested for contaminants prior to the Race.
