Run through the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. Starting at Mt Rushmore, through Hill City, along the Mickelson Trail, and finishing at Crazy Horse Memorial.
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION DISCOUNT: Register Online before the end of the year and receive an additional $10 off the stated registration price. Discount available before 12/31/05.
REGISTRATION DISCOUNT: Additional $5.00 discounts are available for Homeland Security (Military, Police, Fire, and TSA), Youth (18 & Under), Seniors (65 & Over), State of South Dakota Employees, United Way of Black Hills (Staff, Agencies, & Volunteers), Running Clubs (Black Hills Runners Club, Prairie Striders, Sioux Falls Area Running Club, Missouri River Runners, Okabena Bay Area Striders, Pine Ridge Runners Club, & Pierre Area Running Club). You must register online between January 1 and September 30 to receive the additional discount.
HIGHEST PARTICIPATION COMPETITION: Awards the businesses, groups, organizations, or clubs with the highest number of participants. Prizes will be awarded from Black Hills area businesses. $500 will be donated to the United Way of the Black Hills in the name of the winners with the highest participation. Participation numbers will be combined across all events. Everyone must register online to qualify.
CHAMPION CHIP TIMING: Timing services will be provided by AllSportCentral. Each participant will be given a pre-assigned a chip at packet pickup. Relay teams will pass chip between participants during the race in the relay exchange zones just after crossing the mats at each split point.
PACKET PICKUP & EXPO: Pickup your packets, chips, and event information on event weekend open Friday evening and Saturday. Visit expo booths with local, regional, and national businesses.
TRAVEL & ACCOMODATIONS: Travel discounts are available for participants. Check the event website for details.
PROCEEDS: A portion of the proceeds to benefit the United Way of the Black Hills. This year 50% of cash sponsorship donations will go directly to the United Way of the Black Hills chapter plus 100% of additional individual cash donations. In addition, $500 will be donated to the United Way of the Black Hills in the name of the group with the highest participation.
REFUND POLICY: There are no refunds, but you can contact us to transfer your registration to next year's event.

Kids Fun Run will be new this year. The run will start at the South End of Main Street @ 11:00AM and finish just shy of Elm Street. This should give parents that are running the chance to watch the children run as well. Fee includes t-shirt (cotton-short sleeve), bib number, and finisher medal for the first 100 to register. There will be no race day registration.
