Come to the Annual 5K/10K Rock River Run! Race will start at the Rock Valley City Park along Highway 18, Rock Valley, Iowa.
This year we have added a 1 mile "Fun Run/Walk."
Runners, walkers, wheelchairs, and strollers are welcome!
AllSportCentral Champion Chip timing system will be used to process results.
PACKET PICKUP: FRIDAY night packet pick-up and chip verification is STRONGLY encouraged. Packet pick-up will be in the East Shelter House at the Rock Valley City Park, from 6:30-8:30pm. There will be very limited time Saturday morning from 6:15am-7:15am. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.
The completely paved course for the race is relatively flat winding through the new scenic trails on the west side of Rock Valley, as well as Rock Valley's premier new campground Rivers Bend.
Miles will be marked and water stations available.
If you are looking for a big breakfast after the race, the Rock Valley Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services usually serve pancakes, eggs and sausage at the fire station on Main Street from 8:00am-10:00am. Freewill donations are accepted and used for the rescue departments.
All participants will receive a long sleeved T-shirt featuring the Rock River Run. If not preregistered, T-shirts may need to be mailed at a later date.
The top male and female finsher of each race will receive a trophy. Medals will be awarded to the top three places (male and female) of each age category. Results will be posted live on AllSportCentral.com during the event.

Responding to suggestions from last year's race, the Rock River Run committee has made many improvements. The completely paved course for the race is relatively flat winding through the new scenic trails on the west side of Rock Valley, as well as Rock Valley's premier new campground Rivers Bend.
Showers will be available free of charge at the Rock Valley swimming pool for all runners.
Miles will be marked and water stations available.
The Rock River Run Committee will have a food stand on site this year. Menu items will include water, sport drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit, and pastries.
